Know what's happening in court, from the lawyers already there.
A private mobile app for practising lawyers.
A small group of lawyers post what they see from inside a courtroom: court has assembled, moving fast, lunch interval, matter called. Everyone following that court sees the update within seconds, instead of calling around or walking between courts to find out.
What the live feed looks like
Updates stream in real time. No refresh needed.
The status board
Every court you follow, on one screen.
Pick the courts on your daily list. The status board shows the latest update for each one, refreshed in real time as lawyers post.

Why it matters
Three questions a lawyer asks every morning.
Has the court taken up its board?
A lawyer inside the courtroom knows the moment proceedings begin. On Causelist, that information reaches everyone following the court within seconds. No calls, no guesswork.
How is the court progressing through the list?
Knowing the pace of a court helps lawyers with multiple listings on the same day plan their time and be present when their matter is reached.
Has your specific matter been called?
Save a matter to your list and get an instant alert the moment that item number is posted. From inside the courtroom, by a lawyer who is there.
How it works
Three steps, from courtroom to feed.
Tap what you see, from inside the courtroom
Court sitting. Moving fast. Slow day. Lunch interval. Court not assembled. Matter called. One tap. No typing required. Works even on patchy court signal.
Others confirm it
Multiple lawyers in the same court can confirm an update. Confirmed updates earn a Verified badge. Contradicted updates are automatically suppressed.
Everyone outside sees it immediately
The update appears live on the feed and the status board. Your colleague across town knows the status of your court before they step out.
Posting is only enabled during court working hours (9 AM – 5:30 PM, Mon–Sat) and automatically disabled on gazetted holidays. This keeps the feed real and timely.
Coverage
Delhi High Court and every major district complex.
Every district court establishment across 7 Delhi complexes plus all Delhi High Court benches. Post from any courtroom. Just enter the room number.
Why invite-only
A feed full of guesses is worse than nothing.
Every update has to come from a lawyer who is in the courtroom. We're starting with a small group of practising lawyers in Delhi and growing slowly, only as fast as we can vouch for new members. Access is by invitation, for now.
Built by Rishabh Verma, NLU Lucknow '27, after watching lawyers burn whole mornings waiting for information that should have taken seconds to find.
Backed by a grant from Emergent Ventures at George Mason University (Tyler Cowen's programme).
Common questions
Three things lawyers usually ask first.
Isn't this just a WhatsApp group? +
WhatsApp groups go stale fast. Messages get buried, and nobody can tell what's the latest status of a courtroom at a glance. Causelist gives you a structured live status for every court you follow, plus a one-tap interface to post from inside the courtroom. No scrolling through 200 messages to find out whether Court 12 has assembled.
What if someone posts wrong information? +
Every update can be confirmed or contradicted by other lawyers in the same courtroom. Confirmed updates earn a Verified badge; contradicted ones are automatically suppressed. Because Causelist is invite-only and every member is a practising lawyer, accountability is baked in. No anonymous posters.
Is my data shared with anyone? +
No. Causelist does not sell, share, or expose your data to third parties. Other members see only your name, role, and the updates you choose to post. You can permanently delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time. Read the full privacy policy.
